The Islamabad High Court lifted the ban on the celebrating Valentine’s Day. A single bench comprising\u00a0Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani set aside the ban on the event that was imposed last year.<\/p>\n
Last year the top court’s single bench constituting Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui issued a stay order, banning Valentine\u2019s Day celebrations across the country. Court directives prohibited celebrating the event (which falls on 14th of February) in public spaces and government offices.<\/p>\n
All television channels were also forbidden from airing Valentine-themed content.<\/p>\n
