Anita Karim is Pakistan’s first female Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, and she just bagged her second international win.<\/p>\n

Anita Karim, who is 22 years old, registered her first MMA win at the One Warrior Series<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The MMA started with a low fan following. As the sport became more mainstream, it became a sub-culture of its own. Now the sport is even catching on in Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While many are now dabbling in the sport, Pakistan’s first female MMA fighter is Hunza native Anita Karim.<\/p>\n

A Glimpse at Anita’s MMA Career so far<\/h3>\n

This rising MMA star grabbed the national spotlight by winning two gold medals at Pakistan Grappling Challenge (PGC) 2018.<\/p>\n

Now she’s garnered international attention by beating\u00a0Indonesia\u2019s Gita Suharsono.<\/p>\n

MMA\u00a0One Warrior series <\/em>pitted the two ladies against each other.\u00a0The Pakistani fighter, who is also called ‘The Arm Collector’<\/em>\u00a0, won by Unanimous Decision in Round 3.<\/p>\n

The five-foot fighter faced a\u00a0more experienced opponent in Gita Suharsono. By winning this bout, Anita has now gotten herself a shot at the global tournament One Championship<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Although she has fought international opponents before, she still has no record of wins or losses. This will be her first registered victory on an international platform.<\/p>\n
