The film starring Sami Khan and Neelam Munir, received a handsome amount for its satellite rights.<\/p>\n

Entertainment portal HIP in Pakistan<\/em> broke the news of this mega-deal. Wrong No. 2<\/em> producer\u00a0Hassan Zia spilled the beans regarding this deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, I can confirm that we have signed a contract with the Geo Network to involve them as our media partner. We have also sold them the satellite rights of our film.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Recently the Wrong No<\/em> sequel bagged approximately Rs 40 lacs for its music rights, courtesy of Zee Music. That’s a record price for music rights.<\/p>\n

Now with word of the mega-deal for satellite rights, we wonder if this was for another record price. The producers managed to pocket a pretty penny indeed. With Geo Network as their media partner, they took the lion’s share of the deal.<\/p>\n

Here’s How Much Geo Paid for Wrong No 2 Satellite Rights<\/h3>\n

Based on what Hassan Zia had to say, the film\u2019s media partner\u00a0procured its satellite rights. Given this is Geo Network, they were offered a good amount, Rs 1 crore to be exact.<\/p>\n

“Tier 1 channels usually offer a good price for a successful film\u2019s rights, but the terms may not be so favorable for those which are not,…..Since our team has a strong track record with commercially successful ventures like\u00a0Wrong No.<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Mehrunnisa V Lub U<\/em>, we were able to avail a good deal and sold our rights for an amount a little under 1 crore.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With Geo Network taking the lion’s share, what will the production team get? The team expects to make Rs 1.8 crores in pre-release deals prior to the film’s premiere\u00a0in theaters. And that’s not all.<\/p>\n

Mr. Zia added:<\/p>\n

“(This) would give us a margin of about Rs 4 crores for recovery from the theatrical release.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Wrong No. 2<\/em> release date is scheduled for Eid-ul-Fitr.<\/p>\n

Wrong No 2 cast includes Neelum Muneer (Dil Mom Ka Diya) as well as Sami Khan Sami Khan (Rasm-e-Duniya). The two will play the leads in the movie. Other than them,\u00a0Mehmood Aslam,\u00a0Nayyar\u00a0Ejaz, Javed Sheikh, Danish Nawaz and Yasir Nawaz will also be joining the movie.<\/p>\n
