Jamil Dehlavi\u2019s movie, Jinnah<\/em> will be screened in Pakistan once again. It will be screened for the second time after two\u00a0decades, since its release in 1998.<\/p>\n

The film will be screened for the inauguration of the Film Club of the Institute of Arts and Culture (IAC) in Lahore.<\/p>\n

Jinnah cast the late actor Christopher Lee as the leading man Muhammad Ali Jinnah,\u00a0Shashi Kapoor as the Narrator, James Fox as Lord Mountbatten, Shakeel as Liaqat Ali Khan, Vaneeza Ahmed as Dina Wadia and many others.<\/p>\n

Actor Christopher Lee called it the most important film he’d ever made.<\/p>\n

A Masterpiece<\/h3>\n

The cinematic masterpiece\u00a0received\u00a0international acclaim with awards such as\u00a0the World Film Award in Jakarta, Gold Award at Worldfest Flagstaff International Film Festival, Golden Dhow Award at Zanzibar International Film Festival and the Golden Pyramid Award at the Cairo International Film Festival.<\/p>\n

Jinnah was screened at the British Film Institute (BFI) along with Dehlavi\u2019s other projects, back in 2018.<\/p>\n

To Be Played for the Second Time<\/h3>\n

Now the movie will be screened for the IAC Film Club’s inauguration. The screening will be followed by a workshop conducted by Jamil Dehlavi himself, that will run till March, 10.<\/p>\n

Initially, the film was made in English but was later dubbed in Urdu for Pakistani audiences.<\/p>\n

Back in 2015, there was news that Jinnah<\/em> would be re-released\u00a0in cinemas all across Pakistan. The decision was supposed to be in time for Independence Day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
