A boy in Lahore reportedly committed suicide due to forsaken love.<\/p>\n
Sohail, age 17, worked in an electronic shop on Hall road. He stayed in a quarter along with two other boys near Lakshmi Chowk. Deputy Superintendent of Police Raja Fakhar Bashir told local news outlets that the boy was a local of Okara and had an affair with a girl of the same locality.<\/p>\n
The boy failed to convince the girl, following which he filmed his suicide on his phone and showed it to the girl via video call.<\/p>\n
As per available reports, Bashir said that Sohail committed suicide after his lover told him that they could no longer continue the relationship as her parents had already fixed her marriage with her relative.<\/p>\n
He photographed pieces of cloth with his phone and sent it to the girl saying that he would end his life, and emotionally blackmailed her. Since he did not receive the response from the girl as intended, he then connected to her on a video call and committed suicide.<\/p>\n
As he was tying the cloth around his neck, the girl immediately took screenshots of the video and sent it to his employer to stop him. Unfortunately, the employer rushed towards Sohail’s quarter quite late and found his body hanging from the ceiling fan.<\/p>\n
The police was called out by the employer to recover the body of Sohail.<\/p>\n
His parents were notified about the incident. Upon hearing the sad news, they rushed to Lahore. They refused a\u00a0postmortem and the body was handed over to them by the police after conducting all the legal formalities.<\/p>\n
