Chadwick Boseman, recently seen as the warrior king T\u2019Challa in Black Panther,<\/strong> is now returning to the mega screen as the first-ever non-Asian samurai.<\/p>\n

Boseman has been roped in to play the first African Samurai to wield a sword in medieval era Japan.<\/p>\n

According to The Deadline,<\/strong> who were the first ones to break the news, the upcoming flick is a tale of the legend of Yasuke, a Portuguese Mozambique slave who was brought to Japan in the 16th century.<\/p>\n

Boseman Is Down for It<\/h3>\n

Boseman also confirmed the news and said:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe legend of Yasuke is one of history\u2019s best-kept secrets, the only person of non-Asian origin to become a Samurai.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Chadwick, who seemed pretty excited about his latest signing, described the movie as far more than just an action movie.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s a cultural event, an exchange, and I am excited to be part of it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
