What most people miss is the staggering number of female UN Peacekeepers that hail from Pakistan. Surprised? She mentions both men and women when lauding Pakistan&#8217;s contributions to UN peacekeeping missions.<\/p>\n<p>Last year while commemorating Pakistan&#8217;s contributions to United Nation&#8217;s Peacekeeping Missions, she shone the spotlight on military doctor Khushboo.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Pakistan is proud to be one of the longest serving and  largest Troop contributing country to U.N. That same year Pakistan achieved the United Nation&#8217;s target of deploying 15% female military and staff officers in peacekeeping missions in 18 months. In 2015 the UN Security Council called on peacekeeping contributors to double the number of female soldiers deployed in the uniform component.<\/p>\n<p>The UN Office of Military Affairs set the target of deploying 15% female military and staff officers in missions by December 2018.
