A minor girl from a village in Sindh is waiting for a messiah to help her get rid of a mysterious medical condition which has left her head bent at an angle of 90 degrees.<\/p>\n

11-year-old Afsheen Kumbar has to undergo major surgery to return to a normal condition, but her family can’t even afford three meals a day.<\/p>\n

Afsheen hails from Tharparkar district of Sindh and has been living with this ‘perpetually twisted neck’ since childhood.<\/p>\n

Rare Medical Condition<\/h3>\n

According to doctors, she is suffering from a medical condition called \u2018torticollis\u2019 \u2013 a form of a muscular disorder. It was the result of an accidental injury she received when she was only 8 months, while playing outside.<\/p>\n

Since then, she feels pain while keeping her head upright. This has caused problems in eating, using the toilet, and going to school.<\/p>\n

She stays home all the time with her mother Jameela, who runs the errands by working as a \u2018domestic help\u2019. With her annual salary of around $74 \u2013 some 11,000 rupees \u2013 she cannot even afford to think about Afsheen\u2019s surgery.<\/p>\n\n
