We are getting a remake of the classic Home Alone<\/em><\/strong>, and none other than Disney is behind all this. The first two movies have a cult following, while not many have seen the rest (there were two others in case you’re wondering).<\/p>\n

No word on how many of the Home Alone<\/em><\/strong> installments Disney plans on rebooting.<\/p>\n

Disney announced that it will reboot \u2018Home Alone<\/em><\/strong>\u2019 for its streaming platform Disney Plus. <\/em>The corporation also announced that it will remake a couple of films as well.<\/p>\n

Based on Disney CEO Bob Iger’s announcement in a conference call with investors, the Home Alone<\/strong> franchise is being rebooted.<\/p>\n

More Details on Other Franchises<\/h3>\n

Details of how Home Alone<\/em><\/strong> is going to be remade have not been revealed. Disney CEO Bob Iger said the Disney will be ‘reimagining’<\/em> the 1990s Christmas classic film for its streaming service.<\/p>\n

Since Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, all of its franchises now belong to Disney.<\/p>\n

Essentially, Disney is having a go at other beloved Fox Studios franchises and films from the 90s. Other films that will be remade include Night at the Museum<\/em><\/strong>, Cheaper by the Dozen<\/em><\/strong> and Diary of a Wimpy Kid<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Home Alone<\/h3>\n

The 1990 film Home Alone<\/strong> cast Macaulay Culkin in the lead role. The film has a cult following with an audience rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.5\/10 on IMDb. A lot of people are questioning why fix what isn’t broken.<\/p>\n

Disney has not yet shared how or when the film will be remade, or who will be cast in the remake. (good luck meeting Macaulay Culkin).<\/p>\n

Lately, Disney has been making a lot of live-action remakes of it’s own classics as well. While people are loving live-action adaptions of The Lion King<\/em><\/strong>, Aladdin<\/em><\/strong> did not get as much love. Meanwhile, they also have reboots of The Little Mermaid<\/em><\/strong>, and Mulan<\/em><\/strong> lined up.<\/p>\n
