It\u2019s a fact that celebrities from different professions have millions of followers across different social networking sites. These celebrities are always looking to beat each other in the race of having the most number of followers. But do u know a big chunk of these followers are fake? Yes, that\u2019s absolutely true.<\/p>\n

A recent research carried out by the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) shows ten showbiz celebrities with the most fake number of followers. The research was done across two different categories, sports and showbiz.<\/p>\n

The list for showbiz industry, which has American chat show host Ellen DeGeneres on the top spot, also includes two Bollywood female celebrities. These celebrities are none other than Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.<\/p>\n

Two Bollywood Celebs with Top Fake Followers<\/h3>\n

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra claimed the 6th and 10th spot respectively for non-existent followers.<\/p>\n

Statistics show that about 63,441,661 out of 139,798,916 followers of Deepika Padukone are fake. In fact, that\u2019s 45% of her total number of followers!<\/p>\n

Whereas Priyanka Chopra, who ranks at Number ten, has as many as 48,554,193 out of 112,194,500 followers who are not real. This makes it 43% of her total followers.<\/p>\n
