The United Nations has finally responded to the mounting calls of stripping Priyanka Chopra of her UNICEF Goodwill ambassador role.<\/p>\n
Recently, people from different walks of life have been urging UNICEF to remove Priyanka Chopra as their Goodwill ambassador. From Armeena Khan to Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari, scores of people have complained to the United Nations against the actress for beating drums for war.<\/p>\n

He further added that UNICEF expects its ambassadors to adopt \u201cUnicef\u2019s evidence-based impartial positions\u201d when talking on behalf of the organization.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Unicef Goodwill Ambassadors are prominent individuals who have agreed to generously volunteer their time and their public profile to promote children\u2019s rights,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n We can’t help but think that the UN spokesperson’s response regarding the warmongering antics of Priyanka Chopra are nothing more than a diplomatic smokescreen. Her tweet in support of Indian armed forces is nothing but a mockery of the high values UNICEF claims.<\/p>\n UNICEF claims to be an advocate for protecting children from a host of medical, social and economic issues. But at the same time, it stands behind Priyanka Chopra\u2019s stance, terming it as her personal opinion.
