Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir are under fire for working with Indian producers on web series ‘Dhoop Ki Deewar<\/em><\/strong>‘. Now the Pakistan Film Producers Association is out to cancel the couple.<\/p>\n

While India’s ‘All India Cine Workers Association’ banned Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood way before the Pulwama attack, that rule does not apply to digital content. Similarly, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) also banned all Indian film and television content.<\/p>\n

Now that Parwaaz Hai Junoon<\/em><\/strong> director Haseeb Hasan, along with duo Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir are under fire for using that loophole to collaborate with Indian producers on Dhoop Ki Deewar.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Particularly Pakistan Film Producers Association’s Chaudhary Ejaz and his associates. Aslam Sheikh, Muskan, Aliya Jamshed, Ainee Sheikh, Neha Laaj, Saira Ghaffar, and Dia Rehman are all demanding the couple be canceled.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sana Fakhar said that artists should be allowed to work in India. She did not directly support the couple or name them.<\/p>\n

This has proved an obvious polarity among authorities on the issue of artists’ contribution in India. While some feel that artists should not be subjected to such political restrictions. Others feel that we must give the other side a taste of their medicine.<\/p>\n

Recently India’s Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) banned Mika Singh for performing in Pakistan. This was followed by threatening Salman Khan with a ban for working with Mika Singh. As well as prohibiting Diljit Dosanjh, Alka Yagnik, Udit Narayan, and Kumar Sanu from performing at events organized by Pakistani-Americans in the United States.<\/p>\n
