Everyone, including our parents, thought of it as foolish childhood fantasy based on watching too much cartoons. Well, not anymore!<\/p>\n<h3>Robot Pizzas!<\/h3>\n<p>After three years of secretly working on a robotic food system, a Seattle based start-up Picnic, has recently came up with a robot that assembles custom pizzas with hardly any human intervention.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I visited Seattle startup <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PicnicNews?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PicnicNews<\/a> last week to see how their pizza robot can assemble 300 pies per hour. This innovation not only reduces labor costs, but also increases productivity.<\/p>\n<h3>Putting The \u2018Fast\u2019 in \u2018Fast Food\u2019<\/h3>\n<p>Most customers complain that it usually takes around half an hour or more for their pizza to be ready. Well, Picnic\u2019s new robot can assemble around 300 12-inch pizzas in an hour! The robot starts making the pie as soon as the dough has been placed. The \u2018pizza bot\u2019 has sensors that allows it make adjustments if the pizza pie is even slightly off-center.<\/p>\n<p>After the pizza has been assembled, the baking, sauce preparation \u2013 the real art of pizza \u2013 is done by a small group of competent people. What else do you need?<\/p>\n<p>It is not entirely a foreign concept as machines have been making frozen pizzas for many years, but Picnic\u2019s take on the concept is very different.
