The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge asked students aged four to 18 how they are benefitting from the ‘Teach for Pakistan’<\/em> program.<\/p>\n

Teach for Pakistan<\/em> is a fast-track teacher training program modeled on Britain’s Teach First<\/em> scheme.<\/p>\n

The Royal visit will highlight the importance of quality education particularly for women. The tour will highlight the benefits of pursuing higher education and professional careers for girls.<\/p>\n

The British High Commission said UK aid in Pakistan has helped over 5.5 million girls get a quality education since 2011.<\/p>\n

Following the Margalla schools visit, the royal couple will meet with President Arif Alvi in the Presidential Palace. Then Prince William and Kate Middleton will meet with Prime Minister Imran Khan.<\/p>\n

The two will have lunch with the Premier who was a friend of Prince William’s mother Princess Diana.<\/p>\n

They’ll be closing off day one of the Royal visit to Pakistan with a special reception at Pakistan National Monument hosted by the British High Commission to Pakistan.<\/p>\n
