\n‘I didn’t like my looks’<\/h3>\n
The actor explained that back when they shot on film reel and he’d look at rushes afterward, he wasn’t a fan of his looks. He shared an experience of looking at rushes and thinking he’s ugly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I saw myself for the first time on screen, this was for the rushes. Rushes are dailies. You shoot the scenes and you see the negatives. That was the time when we had negatives.<\/p>\n
So, I was looking at\u00a0Raju Ban Gaya Gentlema<\/em>n rushes in RK Studio. And I realised I am so ugly! … My hair was so bad! I was doing pathetic acting in front actors such as Nana Patekar, Amrita Singh and Juhi Chawla.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

His co-star Juhi Chawla had a role in convincing Shahrukh Khan to stay with acting, when he thought he wasn’t good-looking enough.<\/p>\n
\u201cAround 4-ish, there used to be a Air India flight that offered a 25% discount. I used to get those tickets back then. In fact, producers, too, would book tickets that had discounts, … I bought one and went to airport realizing that I cannot be an actor. It’s good to know that SRK doesn’t think that way anymore. Once when asked about his kids following in his footsteps and opting for a career in acting, he said being good-looking isn’t enough to be an actor.<\/p>\n
