2019 has been a roller coaster of a year. With tensions with India and the ban of Bollywood movies in our local cinemas, Pakistani films got a chance to shine in the spotlight. The ban caused an influx in the revenue streams at the box office. The biggest hits of the year that stood out were Sherdil, Superstar<\/strong>, Baaji <\/strong>and Parey Hut Love<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Cinemas are currently relying on Hollywood blockbusters like DC\u2019s Joker<\/strong> to generate sufficient revenue. There is hope for Lollywood and 2020 looks very promising for Pakistani movie goers.<\/p>\n

Bhaag Bhootni Ke<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Starring Junaid Akhtar, alongside A-listers Fawad Khan and the gorgeous Mahira Khan, the comedy film will be produced by IMGC. It will be written and directed by Syed Atif Ali.<\/p>\n

A big screen debut for Emmad Irfani along with Ghana Ali, the film is produced by Dr Irfan Ashraf. Gawah Rehna<\/strong> is a period drama based around 1920 British colonial era. The film is a tribute to unsung heroes of our independence movement and brave Turkish nation.<\/p>\n
