Another blockbuster in the making<\/strong><\/p>\n

The new year is bringing several new projects onto the silver screen. The newest addition to these is the sequel to writer and producer Noman Khan\u2019s action-romance film Sherdil, <\/em>which released earlier this year in March. Khan stated that he had been contemplating working on a sequel for quite some time.<\/p>\n

\u201cSherdil<\/em> came to an end at a point that everybody asked me this question and by this time now I have started thinking that I should write something as Sherdil 2\u201d<\/em>, Khan said. \u201c… but certainly the sequel is going to be totally different as compared to Sherdil<\/em> and we would just have some of these characters in the beginning because they worked wonderfully well in the movie.”<\/p>\n

Khan also stated that Sherdil 2<\/em> is to feature an entirely new cast to \u201ckeep the audience on their toes and watch that thing from the edge of their seats and enjoy it. So that\u2019s going to be a little different.”<\/p>\n

Process set in motion, releasing in 2020 or 2021<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The project has entered is initial stages, and is anticipated to be produced and shot over the course of one to two years. Khan is particular about his audience, and is adamant on creating a body of work which resonates not only with the Pakistani community, but is also favored on international screens. Noman Khan also mentioned how he would like to take directoral charge of the sequel, along with his role as co-producer.<\/p>\n

A change of plot, but not the lead<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Khan has also alluded to the possibility of variation in the plot. He mentioned that the storyline will be approached from a different perspective. He also stated that the sequel\u2019s plot had been decided. Mikaal Zulfiqar is said to return on the project, as well as Rizwan A.Q., who was the editor for the first Sherdil. <\/em><\/p>\n

New stars to appear<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Speaking of the previous project, Khan said that there will be characters from the previous film featured in the sequel.\u00a0 \u201cHowever this time around, I would also like to give more actors the platform to perform, and will be casting some of the best talents in the country,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Presently, there has been no official announcement of the casting or the exact release date.
