Now the criminal justice system must pin-point the killer.<\/p>\n<p>Following the death of the student from Bibi Aseefa Dental College (BADC), the college administration tried to brush off the incident as a suicide. There was the clear presence of asphyxial signs caused by a ligature on the neck, confirms the autopsy report.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe ligature marks also tally with the information. Such signs are produced either in strangulation or hanging and are to be ascertained through circumstantial evidence as corroborative at the crime scene by state investigation authorities.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The autopsy also confirms the final year student was violated prior to her death. The DNA test confirmed the presence of a male DNA profile, indicated by the semen residue on the deceased\u2019s clothes. Furthermore, a vaginal swab tested positive during the autopsy, indicating a forced sexual act.<\/p>\n<p>Netizens now demand that the culprit be caught soon. The fact that this heinous crime took place in Bibi Aseefa Dental College (BADC) hostel just adds to the horror.<\/p>\n<p>The final year student was found dead in her hostel room on September 16, 2019. The Larkana Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University\u2019s (SMBBMU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Dr Aneela Atta Ur Rahman immediately claimed that the medical student had committed suicide.<\/p>\n<p>He made the assumption without letting the police investigate. He asserted that his sister was not depressed and nor did she have any suicidal tendencies His claims that Nimrita was murdered have now been proven.<\/p>\n<p>Following massive nation-wide protests, the Sindh High Court ordered a judicial inquiry into the matter in response to a requisition by the Sindh government.<\/p>\n<p>The probe is being conducted by the Larkana District &amp; Sessions Judge through Sindh High Court (SHC). While the autopsy report confirms foul play, the judicial probe is still underway.
