The Mexican couple decided to convert to Islam after watching the hit Turkish television series Dirilis Ertu\u011frul<\/em><\/strong>, and meeting with one of its actors at a convention in Los Angeles, United States.<\/p>\n

They were inspired by Celal Al’s speech about the series and his motherland Turkey at the 22nd\u00a0<\/sup>annual meeting of the Muslim American Society (MAS).<\/p>\n

Dirilis Ertu\u011frul <\/em><\/strong>cast Celal Al as Abdulrahman Alp in the hit period drama. MAS is a flagship Muslim organization.<\/p>\n

Celal Al was a guest of the Zekat Foundation, which enables Muslims from all over the US to meet up. The Turkish actor was the center of attention at the MAS convention.<\/p>\n

He enjoyed the experience.<\/p>\n
