Even during its current revival stage, Pakistani films faced obstacles in attracting audiences this year in 2019. Reports say that they faced a cumulative revenue loss of 45% when compared to last year.<\/p>\n<p>2018 was a fruitful year for Pakistani cinema, generating ticket sales of up to Rs.2,500 million. Contrast these figures with 2019, and we can see how much it under-performed. This year saw revenues reaching up to Rs.1,800 million, a loss of 45% from last year.<\/p>\n<p>Films such as <strong>Superstar<\/strong>, <strong>Paray Hut love, Wrong Number 2, Chalawa, Sher Dil, Baji, Heer Maan Ja, Lal Kabootar, Katak Shah<\/strong> and <strong>Project Ghazi<\/strong> have been currently showcased so far in cinemas in 2019.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; letter-spacing: 5px; font-size: 16px; margin: 0;\">ALSO READ<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a style=\"font-size: 20px; font-weight: 600; font-family: Raleway ,sans-serif;\" href=\"https:\/\/propakistani.pk\/lens\/the-best-fawad-khan-performances-so-far\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Best Fawad Khan Performances So Far<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Box Office Numbers<\/h3>\n<p><strong>We take a look at revenues generated by Pakistani films this year:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>Superstar: Rs.270 Million<\/li>\n<li>Paray Hat Love: Rs.260.8 Million<\/li>\n<li>Wrong Number 2: Rs.216.50 Million<\/li>\n<li>Chawala: Rs.179 Million<\/li>\n<li>Sher Dil: Rs.126.10 Million<\/li>\n<li>Baji: Rs.110 Million<\/li>\n<li>Heer Maan Ja: Rs.100 Million<\/li>\n<li>Lal Kabootar: Rs.30.4 Million<\/li>\n<li>Khatak Shah: Rs. 20 Million<\/li>\n<li>Project Ghazi: Rs. 20 Million<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other films such as <strong>Gumm, Janoon-e-Ishq, Ready-Steady No, Tum Hi To Ho, Tewar, Operation Swift Retort, Daal Chawal, Darj, Kaaf Kanga <\/strong>and <strong>Talash<\/strong>, failed to make any significant impact on the Pakistani cinema scene.<\/p>\n<p>However, it should be mentioned that <strong>Operation Swift Retort<\/strong> was a not-for-profit movie and not released commercially on cinemas.<\/p>\n<p>The last film to be released this year is <strong>&#8220;Sach&#8221;, <\/strong>which is scheduled for December 20, 2019. Though it is anyone&#8217;s guess how much will it rake in.
