However, things did not go as expected and soon, people figured out that the dress she wore is actually a rip-off of a creation by an international brand called Mihano Momosa.<\/p>\n

How did that happen?<\/h3>\n

It all happened when Diet Sabya, an anonymous social media account which is known for calling out fashion plagiarism, made the revelation on their Instagram page on December 11.<\/p>\n

Diet Sabya posted a collage of the two dresses on their Instagram and captioned it #gandi #copy.<\/p>\n

The page also shared a screenshot of a conversation they had with Mihano Momosa’s official Twitter handle. They were inquiring whether Janhvi’s dress was an original creation or based off Mihano’s design.<\/p>\n

Welp. Guess we got the answer.<\/p>\n

Soon enough, the internet, as if waiting for this to happen, made Janhvi a target of criticism. Netizens also took Bollywood designers to town over their unoriginal designs.<\/p>\n
