<\/p>\nIt is definitely true that mankind is making an effort for a better society and a better world. Environmental awareness, animal shelters, planting trees, ban on plastic and many more measures are being taken by governments and individuals to protect the Earth. However, there are still some issues that hinder the process, and it’s a shame that almost all of these revolve around violence against mankind, especially women.<\/p>\n

A new decade is about to begin in a few hours and yet we are struggling to make our people realize that domestic violence is a major concern of our society. There are still women who are going through this brutality every single day and are waiting to be heard and rescued.<\/p>\n
In a culture and society like ours, the value of a newlywed bride is equivalent to a cow that is slaughtered for its meat. No matter how much we deny it, there are millions of women across the country who are treated like this, or even worse. But why is that? Domestic violence is not only a problem, but a crime that mentally and physically destroys a woman’s life.<\/p>\n
Just recently a case of domestic violence was reported in the city of Lahore, where the victim eventually lost her life a day after her marriage.<\/p>\n

He told the authorities that, Sawera, the victim, was married to Asif Jan on December, 28. When he visited his sister the next morning with his other family members, he witnessed her in-laws taking her to a hospital in an ambulance.<\/p>\n Sawera was taken to a private hospital, where doctors refused to attend to her. According to the doctors, it was a police case as there were bruises on various parts of her body. The doctors declared her dead, but her brother and family rushed her to a government hospital, where the doctors confirmed her death, stated Suleman.<\/p>\n Suleman claimed that Sawera was brutally beaten to death by her husband and in-laws.
