Humsafar had really brought his romantic side out and he was &#8216;<em>really in love with love<\/em>&#8216;. He later realized it wasn&#8217;t the right time to get married as he wasn&#8217;t ready to take on that responsibility.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWell I did get married (only nikkah) at the age of 27 because I felt it was right at that time. Often people are pressured into marriage citing an &#8216;invisible expiry date&#8217; when they lack the emotional stability for it. This leads to a plethora of marital problems.<\/p>\n<p>Now years later the actor is being pressured towards marriage again. But he&#8217;s not about to repeat the same mistake.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe have a relative who keeps budging me to get married again since I\u2019ll soon be 40.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>More About Sarmad Khoosat<\/h3>\n<p>He also spoke about his childhood and upbringing. He revealed how his father was married twice, and how he was born at home.<\/p>\n<p>Sarmad Khoosat was a very outdoorsy child until he got hurt and then he started looking for adventures indoors.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong><em>Moor Mahal<\/em><\/strong> actor almost became a doctor and even got into Nishtar Medical College in Multan. Sarmad Khoosat was obsessed with Thomas Hardy and his tragic stories. Who would&#8217;ve thought he&#8217;d go on to create tragic masterpieces like <strong><em>Humsafar<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Shehr-e-Zaat<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>Manto<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Yet the filmmaker says his influences come from Pakistani filmmaker Mehreen Jabbar.<\/p>\n<h3>Filmography<\/h3>\n<p>The filmmaker started off with Pakistan Television&#8217;s show <strong><em>Shashlik<\/em><\/strong>. His first television drama was <strong><i>Piya Naam Ka Diya<\/i><\/strong> in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>After 2007 he really explored TV drama with <strong><i>Mujhe Apna Naam-o-Nishan Milay<\/i><\/strong>, <strong><i>Kalmoohi<\/i>, <i>Pani Jaisa Piyar<\/i><\/strong>, etc. He even won the award for best director at the LUX Style Awards for <strong><i>Pani Jaisa Piyar<\/i><\/strong>.
