Our worst fears were confirmed as the Zindagi Tamasha<\/em><\/strong> release date has been delayed. Now there will be another viewing of the film by the censor board, only this time a representative of the extremist rightwing religious party Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) will also be included for the same.<\/p>\n

A few days ago, director Sarmad Khoosat penned an open letter and requested that;<\/p>\n

“Space for rational and artistic thinking and expression\u00a0 must not be annexed by a few troublemakers for their political ends.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, it seems that the government of the day has caved in to threats by the TLP.<\/p>\n

According to Express Tribune<\/a>, even though Zindagi Tamasha<\/em><\/strong> has been cleared by the censor board twice, and the movie will now be reviewed by a representative of TLP and a representative of the information ministry.<\/p>\n

These people will be part of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) board members meeting to review the film.<\/p>\n
