Well, the Oscars are done with and there have been a few surprises. One of the biggest was South Korean film Parasite <\/strong>winning the prestigious Best Picture award. However, some people were not happy with this, particularly the US President or POTUS, Donald Trump who told a campaign rally that he wished for the return of Hollywood classics like 1939\u2019s Gone with the Wind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Trump ridiculed the awards just because they gave top honors to a foreign film. We all know, Trump doesn\u2019t like foreigners, which is right next to his dream of building a wall around Mexico.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow bad were the Academy Awards this year?\u201d asked Trump at the rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Imitating an Academy Awards presenter.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He said:<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the winner is a movie from South Korea. What the hell was that all about? We\u2019ve got enough problems with South Korea, with trade. And after all that, they give them best movie of the year? Can we get \u2018Gone With the Wind\u2019 back, please?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Trump said to thousands of supporters, referring to the film about the Civil War-era South that won the best-picture Oscar 80 years ago.<\/p>\n

Parasite<\/strong> is a dark social satire about the gap between rich and poor in modern Seoul, earlier this month became the first non-English-language film to take Hollywood\u2019s top prize. It also won three other Oscars, which included best director and original screenplay for Bong Joon Ho and best international feature film.<\/p>\n
