Waseem Badami\u2019s popular talk show, Har Lamha Purjosh<\/strong> seems to be ground zero for all things controversial these days. Whether it is legendary singer Ali Azmat pointing fingers at Ali Zafar for organizing a hate campaign against the latest PSL V 2020 anthem or actress Sonya Hussyn denying that she ever knew anyone called Faryal Mehmood.<\/p>\n

Now, it\u2019s TV writer, producer and controversy-magnet Khalil ur Rehman Qamar\u2019s turn to add another controversy.<\/p>\n

The equally popular and hated veteran writer simply brushed away Sonya Hussyn\u2019s recent claims that she rejected the role of Mehwish before Ayeza Khan in the insanely popular show Meray Pass Tum Ho<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

During the talk show, while answering one of Badami\u2019s questions, the MPTH <\/strong>writer wanted it to be known that it was not Sonya\u2019s personal choice of rejecting the show due to Khalil\u2019s own ideology. He stated,<\/p>\n

\u201cEven if she had accepted the role, the final ball would have been in my court because no director or producer can finalize the cast on my script without me having the final say. Sonya Hussyn was never in my books for that role,\u201d Khalil ur Rehman mentioned.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Khalil ur Rehman also said that Sonya Hussyn had not reached the caliber or level to do any justice to his script. And that the reason she had rejected the script was entirely different to what Sonya claimed on air.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Sonya met me in Lahore, I asked her whether she had refused my script and for what. Sonya had stated that when the role had been offered to her, Humayun Saeed hadn\u2019t been cast as the male lead.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Even now when the show is done and dusted, more controversial and interesting tidbits still get revealed.<\/p>\n

Looking back, Sonya being cast as Mehwish\u00a0 would have been an interesting choice; not that Ayeza Khan was anything short of brilliant in her portrayal.<\/p>\n
