As Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan continues his battle against cancer, he found strength in his wife Sutapa Khan. The Hindi Medium<\/em><\/strong> actor opened up about how the disease has brought him and his family closer.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror<\/a>, Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan opened up about his battle with cancer and family helping him through it all.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a roller-coaster ride, a memorable one. Happy moments were underlined because of the inherent uncertainty. We cried a little and laughed a lot. We became one huge body,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Irrfan said his wife is the reason he keeps going. She’s become the reason he wants to live.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat to say about Sutapa (wife)? She is there 24\/7. She has evolved in care-giving and if I get to live, I want to live for her. She is the reason for me to keep at it still,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Not an easy journey<\/h3>\n

The actor talked about delving into dark thoughts and the mental health aspects that come with cancer.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou screen out noises. You are selective about what you want to filter in. I have gone through tremendous anxiety but have somehow managed to control it, then, let go. You are playing hopscotch all the time,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Angrezi Medium<\/em><\/strong> actor put his career on hold after he was diagnosed with cancer. Yet this allowed him to be more present in his sons’ lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe best part is that I have had all the time literally to see them evolve. A crucial time for a teenager, like the younger one,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
