There are people out there who think that actresses have no worth whatsoever and can be bought for their own amusement. Mariyam shared a story about how a man had blatantly asked her some inappropriate questions.<\/p>\n

\u201cActress hu, prostitute nahi. (I\u2019m an actress, not a prostitute) I\u2019m sick of these proposals and I\u2019ve tried whatever I could to make them stop but this is what I\u2019m going to do now. It affects my mental health, it disturbs me that some people think this is what my business is. NO! I\u2019M NOT FOR SALE!,\u201d wrote Mariyam on her Instagram<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She also shared a screenshot of the conversation she had with the man in question.<\/p>\n

Responding to Mariyam\u2019s story, fellow actress Armeena Khan also shared her unfortunate encounter with the very same man. He had messaged her as well some time ago and she had put him in his place without hesitation.<\/p>\n

Veteran actress Hina Bayat also came forward in support of Mariyam and commended her on her bravery. Hina stated that she was proud of Mariyam for not bowing down to such disrespect and harassment. She wrote:<\/p>\n

\u201cNever let it bring you down \u2013 physically, emotionally, mentally\u2026\u2026because the fault is with them, not you.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
