Kristofer Hivju is best known for playing the formidable, bearded Tormund Giantsbane on the immensely popular series Game of Thrones<\/strong>. The actor is the latest celebrity to have contracted the coronavirus.<\/p>\n

Hivju took to Instagram to reveal the diagnosis in his latest post, saying that he is currently self-quarantining with his family in Norway.<\/p>\n

The shocking news of Hivju\u2019s diagnosis came out just three weeks after the actor\u2019s announcement of being cast as Nivellen in the new series The Witcher<\/strong>. It remains to be seen what that would mean for the series, though a two week delay in filming has already being called for.<\/p>\n

With the coronavirus epidemic everywhere, many studios and media houses have halted production on many of the popular projects. Other actors who have tested positive for COVID-19 include Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and Olga Kurylenko, all of whom are currently self-isolating.<\/p>\n
