Last night Idris Elba shook the internet with devastating news. The 46-year-old actor took to Twitter to share the news that he tested positive for Coronavirus (also known as COVID-19).<\/p>\n

Elba has won many hearts in Hollywood and beyond. Other than acting, he also sings, writes, and produces. You might have seen him in many famous movies like Fast & Furious<\/strong>, Thor<\/strong> and Avengers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In the Twitter video that he posted earlier, he said,<\/p>\n

This morning I got test results back for coronavirus, and it came back positive.<\/p>\n

His wife, Sabrina, sat right beside him in support, throughout the whole video. The actor also added that he has not shown any symptoms of the virus as of yet and that he is ok. The only reason he got himself tested was that he was in close proximity to someone who also tested positive for the coronavirus. He added,<\/p>\n

This is serious. Now is the time to think about social distancing, washing your hands. Beyond that, there are people out there who are not showing symptoms, and that can easily spread it. Now is the time to be really vigilant about washing your hands and keeping your distance.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Idris says his family and colleagues have been very supportive and that transparency is the best thing at the moment. He also advised everyone to help people in need. Now is the time to remember we’re humans and we are fighting this together. He said,<\/p>\n

We live in a divided world right now. We can all feel it, but now is the time for solidarity. Now is the time for thinking about each other. There are so many people whose lives have been affected; From people who have lost people that they love to those who don’t even have it but have lost their livelihoods. This is real.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
