According to reports, the shooting of the fourth installment of the beloved franchise was expected to kick off in Berlin after wrapping up shooting in San Francisco. The film started production started early in February and was currently being shot in Berlin.<\/p>\n

However, in wake of the COVID-19 crisis that also resulted in travel restrictions enforced on Europe by US President Donald Trump, the production executives decided that it is best for the safety of all the cast and crew members involved to delay the shooting of the film indefinitely.<\/p>\n

With these recent developments, it is now uncertain when the shooting of the upcoming Matrix<\/strong> franchise is going to end and how it might impact the 2021 release date.<\/p>\n

The fourth film in the franchise is expected to see the return of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprising their roles, while Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra and Neil Patrick Harris are the new additions to the cast.<\/p>\n
