There are a lot of Pakistani actors who have worked with Bollywood superstars. Jawed Sheikh, Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Saba Qamar to name a few. Emmad Irfani was offered a similar opportunity, however, things didn’t work out in his favor.<\/p>\n

It won’t be wrong to say that Emmad is among the most handsome faces of our industry. Even before proving his mark in acting, he was already a brilliant model. But with Cheekh<\/strong>, he broke all stigmas that said that ‘models can’t be good at acting’.<\/p>\n

Emmad Irfani recently made a guest appearance on Say It All With Iffat Ommar<\/em><\/strong>. And there, he said it all about his experience with the Indian film industry.<\/p>\n

He was actually offered a role against Kareena Kapoor in the 2018 comedy movie Veere Di Wedding<\/strong>. But, due to political tensions between both countries, it couldn’t happen.<\/p>\n

When host Iffat Omar asked him how upset he was at that time, Emmad opened up and said,<\/p>\n

“To be ruthlessly honest, I was upset. We had to begin the shooting from September 2016. But what happened was that Kareena was expecting at that point, so she said that she will resume shooting after delivering the baby. So the shooting was delayed for a year and a lot changed during that time.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The model turned actor continued that it doesn’t affect him anymore and now he has become a nationalist.<\/p>\n

“I am a big nationalist now and I want Pakistan to do well… If they are not respecting us than we don’t need to go there. Or if they are not welcoming us, than we don’t need to portray that we are dying to work with them… We don’t need them. I think we should make a mark with our own identity.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
