Faysal Quraishi is preaching the true spirit of donation drives, which is altruism. He wants people to donate in private. Call him old fashioned, but he’s not supportive of documenting donation drives on social media.<\/p>\n
Right now we have a countrywide lockdown to flatten the curve of the spread. Many people have been gathering donations to hand out money or ration bags to wage workers. Plenty of other people living in poverty that are out of a job due to the lockdown also benefit from these donation drives.<\/p>\n
Yet despite this being an act of altruism, we are often seeing a lot of people sharing footage of their donation efforts, turning it into somewhat of a publicity stunt for some.<\/p>\n

\nThe Muqadar<\/strong> actor reminded us that we’re not supposed to donate for the five seconds of fame online.<\/p>\n
