People are so committed to performing these prayers in mass gathering that they would even assault a female police officer who is only looking out for their health and safety.<\/p>\n<p>Shockingly, this incident happened today and it has been captured on video. A female police officer was beaten, kicked and pulled around by a mob in Orangi Town, Karachi. However, some people attended prayers at mosques on Friday, despite appeals from the Government for people to stay at home.<\/p>\n<p>This is not an isolated incident as many mosques defied government requests to postpone Friday prayers as part of efforts to control the spread of coronavirus. It&#8217;s shocking to see how blatantly people disregard the health and safety of everyone by refusing to stay home. And for those believing this curfew is some sort of discrimination against Islam, then people need a wake-up call to see that this curfew is imposed on all religious gatherings.<\/p>\n<p>So far, Pakistan seems to be the only Islamic state that has an issue with the postponement of Friday prayers.
