Ayesha Omar opened up about not feeling secure in Pakistan, quite literally and financially. The actress spilled the tea on what actually went down at the infamous Pakistan International Screen Awards (PISA) in Dubai.<\/p>\n
According to Ayesha Omar, she, like many artists didn’t create too much of a ruckus for fear of being dubbed ‘difficult’. She says that would affect her future prospects if she as much as said that people owe her money.<\/p>\n
\u201cA lot of people have big amounts of money stuck with major organisations. The problem is, if we make too much noise, we are termed as \u2018difficult<\/em>\u2019.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nIn an interview with Images<\/a>, she revealed that she was one of the first people that organizer Faisal Khan reached out to. She knew him from back in 2018 when he hosted a T20 Tournament. Yet despite doing radio shows, press conferences, and interviews to promote PISA, the other side didn’t fulfill their end of the bargain.<\/p>\n
“They didn\u2019t pay for my meals. I had to pay for my return ticket myself \u2014 in fact, I had to go via Oman and pay extra because no other flights were available at the time. They said that they would reimburse me later, but they haven\u2019t done so yet. They also are yet to pay my hosting fee. I have been messaging them every day.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Yalghaar actress revealed that she’s not the only one. Many Pakistani artists are facing pay issues, and sadly, this is a common practice in the industry.<\/p>\n
She named and shamed some of these big networks:<\/p>\n
“Geo Network owes me a huge amount for a soap that I acted in for them ages ago. Indus Music is yet to pay me a large chunk of money. I wasted three years of my life on [the film] Yalghaar<\/em> and I still haven\u2019t been paid in full for it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Literally Not Secure<\/h3>\n
The Bulbulay<\/em><\/strong> famed actress opened up on how secure she feels in Pakistan as a woman. From not being able to safely walk down the street alone, to threats online from trolls.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s so unfair. Who are all these people to judge me? … I have never retaliated to their comments but they do sadden me”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“But now, more and more, I\u2019m beginning to feel insecure.
