First, you have to ask yourself all the necessary questions like:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cWhy do I have a gun?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cWhere did this gun come from?\u201d<\/li>\n<li>and finally \u201cWhy am I learning gun safety from Zaid Hamid!?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Well ok, that last question came out of nowhere but bear with us for a second here.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently, &#8216;demolitions and firearms expert&#8217; Zaid Hamid released a video recently about the importance of checking your gun&#8217;s safety. Let&#8217;s talk about some important things.<\/p>\n<h3>The Proper Way to Check Your Gun&#8217;s Safety<\/h3>\n<p>After you\u2019ve somewhat adequately answered all questions we raised above, it is time to learn the basics of gun safety. This time we are dead serious.<\/p>\n<p>Things to keep in mind:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Firstly, a gun should always be treated as if it is loaded. Always.<\/li>\n<li>Secondly, you should never place your finger on the trigger if you do not want to fire, especially if you\u2019re checking to see whether the safety is \u2018on\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Never point it at anyone.<\/li>\n<li>Guns don&#8217;t kill people, people do. (What is this? As the red-beret wearing \u2018commando\u2019 instructs people to check if the safety is on or off in the dark is by trying to pull the trigger!
