The famous\u00a0Baaji\u00a0<\/strong>actress, Meera Jee, went to the United States of America for the shoot of her upcoming film\u00a0Long Distance<\/strong>. Not only will she be seen as the lead role in the film, but she was also a part of its production team.<\/p>\n

While fellow actors like Humayun Saeed left the States for Pakistan, Meera was stuck there due to the coronavirus lockdown. Last month, the Nazar<\/strong> actress took to social media to plead to the Prime Minister for help. She said,<\/p>\n

Mr Prime Minister, it\u2019s 2 am here in New York and I am trapped in this hotel room addressing you right now. I arrived here with Humayun Saeed and other actors for the shooting of a film, but they\u2019ve all left and I\u2019m stuck still here.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She mentioned that the situation was very nerve-wracking and that she needs help.<\/p>\n

New York is turning into a graveyard with several people dying each day. Death is inevitable but I don\u2019t want to die in a foreign country.<\/p>\n

Mr Prime Minister, you have always supported the artistes of our country and nations around the world are bringing their citizens back home. I am begging you, please make arrangements for me to come back. I want to die in my own country.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On Wednesday, Meera Jee announced her safe return to Pakistan. Reportedly, she took a foreign flight from Washington to Lahore and is now back in her home country.<\/p>\n

The 43-year-old confirmed the news in a video posted on her Instagram account. She wrote,<\/p>\n

Thanks to Allah, I am back in Pakistan. A big shout out to Pakistan Embassy Washington and New York Consulate. You guys are amazing. You work so hard to help our fellow Pakistanis overseas. Proud of you and praying for you! Stay blessed Pakistan!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The star from\u00a0Parey Hut Love\u00a0<\/strong>also appreciated the government’s efforts into bringing back stranded Pakistani citizens from different countries.<\/p>\n

They have been working very hard to help everyone, including myself. I have seen it with my own eyes. Please consider this, the next time you bash government or their efforts.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
