From domestic violence to forced marriage, we’re seeing the worse outcomes of familial crises.<\/p>\n In April the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres reported a \u2018horrifying global surge<\/em>\u2019 in domestic violence during the lockdown and quarantine.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know lockdowns and quarantines are essential to suppressing COVID-19. But they can trap women with abusive partners.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Peace is not just the absence of war.
