One of the most prominent names in the showbiz industry, Mehwish Hayat continues to win over fans with her charisma and personality. The talented actress is currently working on a biopic project based on the late Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.<\/p>\n

Up till now, the matter had been kept hush-hush, but it seems like we will finally be getting a Benazir Bhutto biopic with Mehwish Hayat as the lead!<\/p>\n

Mehwish recently was invited on a talk show on DesiBlitz<\/strong>, where she talked about the life of Benzair Bhutto and what drew her to play the lead role in the upcoming project.<\/p>\n

Though she was not allowed to say anything related to the details of the project, the Actor in Law <\/strong>star stated that she is honored to be playing the late political figure.<\/p>\n

\u201cApart from the political aspect of Benazir Bhutto\u2019s life I am drawn to her character because of her personality. For me, Benazir Bhutto is a Shakespearean heroine. The whole story-line from her carefree university days at oxford to her joining politics and later to her controversial assassination. Her personality has layers and depths that as an actor I would love to delve into,\u201d she said. \u201cIt would be an honor playing her.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While promoting her projects in foreign countries Mehwish said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI urge the international media to treat us fairly on the silver screen. Not asking for a positive portrayal of us but least treat us equally.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She also mentioned neighboring country India and said that India has one of the largest film industries in the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do they do? They show countless films with Pakistanis as villains. I\u2019ve lost count of the films in last year where Pakistan has been shown in a bad light.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
