Fans of Pakistani dramas know that Maya Ali and Osman Khalid Butt have one of the best friendships out there and have even earned the nicknam<\/span>e “Osmaya”<\/strong><\/em> from fans.<\/p>\n

The two basically climbed the ladder of success together. With dramas like Aik Nayee Cindrella<\/strong><\/em>, Aunn Zara<\/strong><\/em>, Diyar-e-Dil<\/strong><\/em> and Sanam<\/em><\/strong> Maya Ali and Osman have given us some great projects.<\/p>\n

But while the nickname sounds really cute and familiar, some fans have started to ship them as a couple. #Osmaya became a new social media trend and gossip mongers took this opportunity to spread rumors about their relationship.<\/p>\n

On various occasions, both Maya and Osman have denied their dating rumors and have repeatedly emphasized that they are just good friends.<\/p>\n

The birth of Osmaya<\/h3>\n

How did it all start though? Maya Ali shares how they found out about it in a recent live session with Pakistani designer HSY.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt feels great but when this hashtag started, we didn\u2019t even know what a hashtag is. In the beginning Osman used to say that they write the wrong spelling of his name, from Osman to Osmaya.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u201cIt was only after Diyaar-e-Dil when we found out that they have combined Osman and Maya together,” she further added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From Colleagues to Real Life Friends<\/h3>\n

She also shared that they received immense love from their fans, but some also thought that they got married. They clarified that they are just good friends.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s not like if you are good friends to someone, you have to marry them. I have a great understanding with Osman and we love each other as friends.,” she further added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Talking about working with Osman again, Maya said,<\/p>\n

\u201cWe still want to work together and we also received some scripts but we didn’t like them much. Obi said, \u2018no Maya we will work together in good projects’ and I agreed with him.”<\/p>\n
