The Turkish historical series,\u00a0Dirili\u015f:<\/strong> Ertu\u011frul<\/strong>, has sparked a lot of debate among the Pakistani citizens. There are people who are absolutely in love with the show, while on the other hand, some people believe it’s hurting our own entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

Shaan Shahid, Mansha Pasha, and Yasir Hussain, from the latter group of people, believe that our TV channels need to support and promote Pakistani dramas. According to these stars, the Pakistani production houses that are already suffering during COVID-19 could really use some help.<\/p>\n

While Bilal Ashraf, Mehwish Hayat, Osman Khalid Butt, and Haroon Rashid believe Dirili\u015f:<\/strong> Ertu\u011frul\u00a0<\/strong>is an absolute wonder. In many different posts and interviews, these stars revealed that they’ve followed the show religiously and don’t have any problems with it airing on PTV.<\/p>\n

Mahira Khan also jumped on the bandwagon and showed her support for the Turkish drama series. In an interview with HSY, the\u00a0Raees<\/strong> actress said:<\/p>\n

I have no reservations about it [Ertugrul]. I have not seen it yet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She further explained that these shows aren’t very expensive since they are old and have been airing for a long time. Mahira understands that some people fear Pakistani channels will continue to buy and bug them, but she added that it should not be seen as a problem.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Superstar<\/strong> actress also expressed her happiness for PTV, which was once in danger of becoming disconnected from people’s lives.<\/p>\n

I am so happy that PTV, which was never considered by Pakistani viewers, is now getting all these views from fans of the show.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mahira concluded the conversation by saying:<\/p>\n

If our content is good then people will definitely watch it. People will also watch those [Turkish] shows if they are good. And that’s not an issue.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
