Amazon Prime’s new series Paatal Lok<\/em><\/strong> has invited yet another controversy. Anushka Sharma, the producer of the show, is under fire for hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community.<\/p>\n

On Monday, they were given notice from the Punjab and Haryana High Court on a petition saying the web series Paatal Lok<\/em> <\/strong>had defamed the Sikh community.<\/p>\n

The notice of motion was issued to the Union of India and 15 other respondents by the bench of Justice Arun Kumar Tyagi.<\/p>\n

The petitioner has objections to episode number three titled ‘A History of Violence’<\/em> that was set in a village in Punjab. The petitioner-advocate Gurdeepinder Singh Dhillon in his statement said,<\/p>\n

\u201cThe respondents have purposely and maliciously within intent of creating communal disharmony and caste-based clashes have shown two communities in a bad light.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Paatal Lok Gets Into More Trouble<\/h3>\n

The show has sparked public outrage for exposing social problems and confronting taboos in India. Earlier, the team got in legal trouble with the Gorkha community for allegedly insulting Nepalis.<\/p>\n

BJP MLA Nandkishore Gurjar also showed his discontent with Paatal Lok<\/em> <\/strong>as his picture was used in one of its sequences.<\/p>\n

The MLA belives that the series promotes communal disharmony and by using his picture, it has put him in the bad light. He filed a complaint against Anushka Sharma under the National Security Act.<\/p>\n

However, he went too far with his objection and protests that he even asked Anushka’s husband and Indian cricket team captain, Virat Kohli, to divorce her for producing Paatal Lok<\/strong>, <\/em>which is absolutely disgusting.<\/p>\n
