The news of his demise was confirmed by his son.<\/p>\n<h3>The Demise of a Legend<\/h3>\n<p>Tariq Aziz is a legendary figure from PTV and Radio Pakistan. He was the first male PTV announcer when the country started its initial broadcast in November 1964.<\/p>\n<p>He was also one of the first anchors to gain commercial success through his game show <em><strong>Neelam Ghar<\/strong><\/em> and later the <em><strong>Tariq Aziz Show<\/strong><\/em> (Bazm-e-Tariq Aziz).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.<\/p>\n<p>We have lost an icon.
