2020 continues to be one of the worst years in recent memory. With the global coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic getting out of control, this year made people cry because of notable celebrity deaths. While people were still reeling from the loss of adored actors such as Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and the tragic suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, another great public figure sadly passed away \u2013 Tariq Aziz.<\/p>\n

Pakistani fans were shocked to learn that the country\u2019s legendry TV host passed away. The 84-year-old was a household name nationwide as his show Neelam Ghar <\/strong>won the hearts of millions of Pakistanis since it first aired.<\/p>\n

However, right now, we want to honor this great Pakistani\u2019s legacy and hard-work as look at Tariq Aziz from living on a footpath to becoming a renowned TV host and respected politician in the parliament. Let\u2019s start, shall we (or in the words of the great man himself: \u2018yeh post apka hua!\u2019)<\/p>\n

The Struggles And Hardship<\/h3>\n

Before he won the hearts of millions, Tariq Aziz saw hard times as he came from a poverty-stricken life. Growing up, he lived on roadsides and how he didn\u2019t even have enough money to pay for a cup of tea. However, he had strong faith in Allah and was determined to face all the hardships. His chivalrous and charismatic attitude showcased his dedication, struggle and determination.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must always remember, that after every night there comes a dawn,\u201d the Neelam Ghar <\/strong>host once said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Neelam Ghar<\/strong> is one of the most iconic shows to come out of Pakistani showbiz. It aired on PTV in 1974 and paved the way for the likes of Jeeto Pakistan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It wasn\u2019t the premise of the show that attracted viewers, rather, it was Tariq Aziz\u2019s personality and dedication to his job that was the secret sauce behind its success. The most interesting part of the show (that we all remember fondly to this day) were the host\u2019s dialogues. It was Tariq Aziz\u2019s delivery that made them so memorable.<\/p>\n

The Man Was A Poet!<\/h3>\n

Tariq Aziz wasn\u2019t just your usual actor and host. He was also a parliamentarian who fought for the common folks. However, what most people don\u2019t know is that he was also an impeccable poet.<\/p>\n

His poetic verses were beautifully written and thought-provoking. Each word offered melancholic yet hopeful nuggets of wisdom that inspired people.<\/p>\n

His entire life is an inspiration to all and one through which people learn the true meaning of hardship, struggle, faith, and determination. Though we may have lost him, he continues to live in our hearts.<\/p>\n

We pray that Allah grants him the highest rank in Jannah and may he rest in peace.<\/p>\n
