A great drama consists of compelling characters, both good and bad. In order for a good, innocent character to be cheered on, there has to be an evil character that people just can’t help but hate. That’s just Script Writing 101. It is the most hated drama characters who give our protagonists their moment to shine.<\/p>\n

While we love and root for the good guys, we also enjoy hating on the bad guys. To be hated, it doesn\u2019t necessarily mean for the character to be bad. It could be bad acting, their annoying personality, or just infuriating insecurities.<\/p>\n

So who are the most hated characters in Pakistani dramas right now? Here are the ten characters that we love to hate nowadays.<\/p>\n

Saira \u2013 Mai Na Janoo<\/strong><\/h3>\n

How to describe this particular Sanam Jung character? Here it goes.<\/p>\n

She is a self-proclaimed \u2018bechari\u2019 (victim) who can\u2019t look past her \u2018bechargi\u2019 (victimization) because she is soo used to the idea of being a, well\u2026 bechari!<\/p>\n

Even though the character is married to a cousin who loves her, adores her, and trusts her with all his heart, Saira continues to be \u2018bechari\u2019 \u2013 a sneaky bechari to be precise. The character never opens up to her husband that she is blackmailed by her ex-boyfriend Nihaad. She would rather be \u2018forced\u2019 to celebrate a romantic midnight birthday with the blackmailer.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Aside from Sanam Jung\u2019s poor acting, the character is annoying, hypocritical, and more disliked than the supposed villain Nihaad.<\/p>\n

Zoya \u2013 Kashf<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Even in this day and age, when the Pakistani drama industry is thriving, we have a drama like Kashf<\/strong>. It is about the titular character\u2019s sister, Zoya, who is in love with her brother-in-law. Yup, that\u2019s the selling point of this drama.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

While credit goes to Sabeena Farooq for delivering a terrific and convincing performance, it is still cringey to see a young sister make passes at her brother-in-law. Eventually, she even gets the na\u00efve fianc\u00e9 to marry her. What\u2019s even worse is that the fianc\u00e9, Wajdan, still has feelings for Kashf. Either way, nobody is worth rooting for in this show.<\/p>\n

Taimoor \u2013 Balaa<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Even though actor Bilal Abbas Khan is very much liked by the public, his character Taimoor on the other hand is just stupid. Raised by a loving mother, Taimoor grew up hating his cousin Nigar. But like all dramas, he ended up marrying his cousin.<\/p>\n

Even though Taimoor knew of his wife\u2019s evil personality traits, he failed to maintain a balance between his mother and his wife. He started doubting his own mother and even left her in the care of his evil wife just to go abroad for his job. Fans hated this character for being an irresponsible son who can easily be manipulated.<\/p>\n

Munazzah \u2013 Thora Sa Haq<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A master manipulator who wanted nothing but to own things that do not belong to her. While the writers tried to make her seem like a nice mother, the viewers caught on to how sneaky and manipulative Munazzah actually was.<\/p>\n

Munazzah is an overall weak character who treated her son, Zamin, like an afterthought. She just wanted to stay in a home that was owned by Rabia. Not only that, she always manipulated Rabia into carrying out her evil plans while she just sat and watched the mayhem unfold.<\/p>\n

Shaheena \u2013 Mera Dil Mera Dushman<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There are evil characters, then there are super evil characters, and then there are the likes of Shaheena. A character so negative that it cannot be measured! While over the years we have grown accustomed to negative characters and their snarky dialogues in drama serials, but every time Shaheena opens her mouth it is verbal diarrhea!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Kudos to the actress for creating such a vile character. Shaheena is simply detestable. Who knew a woman who is expecting could be so evil and heartless?<\/p>\n

Zeeshan \u2013 Kahin Deep Jalay<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trying to connect with the young male generation, the writers of Kahin Deep Jalay<\/strong> attempted to create a sad hero with several insecurities and \u2018complex\u2019 thoughts. What we ended up with is Zeeshan, an insecure, weak man who comes across as more of a coward.<\/p>\n

It is one thing to not talk, but Imran Ashraf\u2019s character simply wallows in his own self-pity. Even though he has a loving wife and family, Zeeshan continues to find ways to make an issue out of everything. He even went as far as to accuse his wife of infidelity, which backfired on him. Not even able to man up and own his mistakes, Zeeshan\u2019s whole gimmick is to walk around the city in a black shalwar kameez in silence, looking \u201cso depressed\u201d.<\/p>\n

Ammar \u2013 Khaas<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Ammar is a perfect example of writers creating a believable negative character without going overboard. One of the strongest performances of Ali Rehman\u2019s career to date, Ammar is a subtly narcissistic character who portrays himself as an ideal husband in front of everyone.<\/p>\n

He is hated for the right reasons and is a negative character that only serves to add realism to the plot instead of going overboard just for ratings. He puts his wife, Saba, through all the bad things without even acknowledging his wrongdoings, which is enough for the viewers to hate him.<\/p>\n

Nimra \u2013 Jhooti<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A kleptomaniac and pathological liar, Nimra is a completely one-dimensional character that has all the wrong things going for her. Wiith hardly any redeemable qualities, her character doesn\u2019t even mind manipulating her own parents for her personal gain.<\/p>\n

Portrayed by Iqra Aziz, Nimra\u2019s character is not just annoying but over-exaggerated. It seems like the writers only created her character merely for the ratings. The story itself has nothing new or interesting to offer either. Fans already know the character will eventually have to pay for all her wrongdoings but hardly anyone cares to see it to the end.<\/p>\n

Jameel \u2013 Aangan<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Another overly selfish character who is beyond the viewers\u2019 understanding of what he actually hopes to achieve in life. Jameel is just a poorly written character with no spine. The character just enjoys mooching off of others because he himself knows he can\u2019t fend for himself or do anything without someone there to help him.<\/p>\n

Played by Ahad Raza Mir, the character even exploited his cousin who was blindly in love with him. He just gave her pep talks just so she can finance his education. It\u2019s almost hilarious to see Jameel move on from Chammi to Tehmina (a girl he had never met) pestering Aaliya to fall in love with him, and eventually running back to Chammi.<\/p>\n

Mehwish \u2013 Mere Pass Tum Ho<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Of course, this list wouldn\u2019t be complete without THE most hated character in recent history. It takes skillful writing to create a character as deeply flawed yet sympathetic at the same time as Mehwish from Mere Pass Tum Ho. The character was not only hated but also stirred a debate on whether she should be hated or not. This mainly due to how realistic a character Mehwish was.<\/p>\n

While fans loved Danish, he was merely a TV hero. Ayeza Khan\u2019s Mehwish was real and complex. The character was not just an adulteress stereotype but rather a flawed human being who was oblivious to her actions. It is one of the reasons why there are people who justified her behavior on social media but most just hated her.<\/p>\n
