Acclaimed singer Hadiqa Kiani just sang a Turkish song. Titled Sen A\u011flama, <\/em>it is\u00a0a touching tribute to Turkish period series Dirili\u015f: Ertu\u011frul. <\/strong>And what’s more? It has surpassed one million views on Facebook alone!<\/p>\n

The Boohe Baariyan<\/em> singer took to her Instagram and expressed her gratitude for an overwhelming response to her rendition of Sen A\u011flama.<\/p>\n

“We have hit ONE MILLION views on Facebook alone! Thank you for supporting this rendition, I am truly overwhelmed<\/span>,” she wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hadiqa Kiani shares her new song<\/h3>\n

On June 19, the Jaanan<\/em> singer shared her rendition with her fans and said that she had remastered this Turkish song by the ‘living legend Sezen Aksu’.<\/p>\n

Hadiqa Kiani further shared that in 2005, she had the honor of performing Sen A\u011flama<\/em> at the Atat\u00fcrk Cultural Center and Opera House where she represented Pakistan and received a standing ovation from the audience.<\/p>\n

“I remember telling the audience that as Turkey stood beside Pakistan in good and bad times, I wanted to convey the love of Pakistani people for the Turks.” <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The singer has always had an affinity to the country as her maternal ancestors were from Izmir, a city in Turkey.<\/p>\n

And as the two countries reached another milestone in their relationship with the tremendous success of Ertu\u011frul<\/strong>, she wanted to pay a tribute to the drama, Sezen Aksu and Turkey.<\/p>\n

“We hope you enjoy this touching tribute,” she wrote at the end of her note.
