People from the biz have used all sorts of excuses to bash Ertugrul Ghazi<\/em><\/strong> in Pakistan. From calling for support of local content to bashing PTV policies. However, the country’s top rated actress Saba Qamar is having none of it.<\/p>\n

The Baaghi<\/em><\/strong> actress called out people asserting that the problem is with the state broadcaster, Pakistan Television <\/a>(PTV), who are not supporting local talent and content. Saba says that if that really was the case, why are these haters not pitching new projects to PTV?<\/p>\n

In a live session, Saba stuck down these lame ‘reasons’ to hate on the globally acclaimed series.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cIf you are talking about PTV that it is not earning much, these same actors who are speaking against Ertugrul are those same actors who never attend a call from PTV.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Its a fact that revenue from dubbing and airing Ertugrul Ghazi<\/em><\/strong> has been more monetarily beneficial for PTV than collaborations with national television channels like with Ehd-e-Wafa<\/em><\/strong> and Janbaaz<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese actors have not done anything and they never offered PTV anything for free so that PTV can raise its bar. But now if Imran Khan has done something good and the rating of PTV is raising more than private channels, so now people have a problem with this.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Having started from PTV, Saba Qamar created many hits for the state broadcaster such as drama serials like Mein Aurat Hoon<\/i><\/strong>, Chaap<\/i><\/strong>, Dhoop Mein Andhera Hai<\/i><\/strong>, Kanpur Se Katas Tak<\/i><\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n

She even collaborated with PTV for the telefilm ‘Jinnah Kay Naam<\/em><\/strong><\/a>‘, a tribute to the Founder of Pakistan which cast Saba was Fatima Jinnah, Mother of the Nation.<\/p>\n

Despite her success from drama serials like Dastaan<\/em><\/strong>, Yahan Pyar Nahin Hai,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0 the actress returned to PTV for Tinkay<\/em><\/strong>, Bint-e-Adam <\/em><\/strong>and\u00a0Tera Pyar Nahi Bhoole.<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhere were you when PTV was nothing? You could have offered your free acting service to PTV and helped them in running content. Everyone knows how to criticize but nobody is thinking about growth. We all are stuck. Nobody calls and appreciate when you do something good but as soon as one mishap happens people start calling you out.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Manto<\/em><\/strong> starlet concluded by asking all the critics to focus on making quality content rather than tearing down PTV. She opened up about how the industry isn’t growing, so these critics are tearing down other’s success.<\/p>\n
