Most of us have probably realized by now that coronavirus has changed the world as we know it. We might not be able to eliminate it completely, but we also know that life must go on. Terms like social distancing and face masks have become part of our culture. It stands to reason that businesses are going to get creative with how they cope in a world with COVID-19.<\/p>\n

This one restaurant in India has come up with a very creative way to educate its customers while serving them good food in the process.<\/p>\n

India has been badly affected by COVID-19. But like Pakistanis, Indians just can’t give up on good food. A popular part of their dish is the paratha \u2013 a delicious flatbread.<\/p>\n

There are many flavorful versions of a paratha. There is kohtu paratha, veechu paratha, chilly paratha, and keema paratha. But have you tried their latest mask paratha?<\/p>\n

There is a small restaurant in Madurai, Tamil Nadu where a city-based paratha \u2018master\u2019 has become quite popular for his \u2018mask\u2019 shaped rotis.<\/p>\n

The ubiquitous flatbread can assume different avatars and designs to satiate our taste buds, but this new mask has not just caught the eye of passersby but everyone on social media.<\/p>\n

The man behind the mask paratha is Chef K L Kumar, who wants to raise awareness about the importance of them. He highlights a key way to fight COVID-19 with his delicious flatbread.<\/p>\n

“I have made parathas in the shape of masks and people who come to my restaurant get the message on seeing them,” he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

With the government only allowing takeaways, Kumar\u2019s mask paratha is the most heavily requested item on the menu.<\/p>\n

“I use it in veechu parathas. (One, which is done by spreading the dough in thin circular form and then folded into layers with air pockets),” he says, proudly displaying his culinary mask.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
