Amjad Sabri was a legendary Sufi qawwal that Pakistan lost in 2016. He was assassinated by target killers in June 2016 and his followers still haven’t recovered from the grief.<\/p>\n

Sabri belonged to one of South Asia’s most famous artistic families and inherited his talent from his father Ghulam Farid Sabri and uncle Maqbool Ahmed Sabri of the Sabri Brothers. He was the pride of the nation and often recited poems written by his father and uncle.<\/p>\n

In 2018, he was posthumously awarded Sitar-i-Imtiaz<\/em>, the third highest civil award for his services to the nation.<\/p>\n

Amjad Sabri may have passed away but his legacy will continue to live on through his children. His eldest son Mujaddid Sabri is ready to follow his father’s love for music.<\/p>\n

Mujaddid, lovingly called Mujji, is poised to lead the group in the future with his soulful voice. He has been training very hard.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the latest video, he can be heard singing Tajdar-e-Haram<\/em> with a group of classical musicians.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
