<\/p>\nOn Wednesday, the apex court denied the bail application of one of the accused persons in the murder case of medical student Asma Rani that took place in Kohat two years ago. The court is currently continuing with the trial of Mujhahid Afridi and Shahzaib Khattak for their involvement in the death of the Asma Rani.<\/p>\n

One of the suspects, Shahzaib, requested for bail, but the court denied his plea. Shahzaib has been accused of allegedly aiding and abetting the other suspect Mujahid Afridi, who has been accused of committing the murder of the young student. Asma Rani was a third-year student at Ayub Medical College.<\/p>\n

Mother Loses Her Life in Crossfire Between Son And Son-In-Law<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to reports, the medical student was on her way home in a rickshaw with her sister-in-law when she was shot dead by Mujahid Afridi, who was waiting for her.<\/p>\n The incident took place in January of 2018 at her hometown in Kohat. Sources claim that Mujahid Afridi gunned down Asma after she allegedly rejected his marriage proposal.<\/p>\n The police registered an FIR for the case after the deceased\u2019s family made the complaint. The victim\u2019s brother Muhammad Irfan registered the FIR under Section 324 and 304 of Pakistan Penal Code. Following the incident, Mujahid fled to Dubai but was soon apprehended by Interpol, which had his name on their most wanted list. The KP police made the arrest after approaching Interpol through the Federal Investigation Agency.<\/p>\n Recently, Asma\u2019s sister, Safia Rani, has requested PM Imran Khan for the trial to be conducted in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).
